How time flies! We’ve kicked off 2019 with a bang by introducing payments and we’ve taken big steps towards developing our app to make money as social as your life.

In-app payments allow you to pay each other back and we have plans to make it easier to manage your groups going forward.

Product updates: Apply for a card

We’ve been working hard on being able to roll out our cards so that everyone can apply. This involves improving our security and upgrading our payment technology so that you can trust your money is safe and secure.

In the meantime, you can be first in line to apply by registering your interest and joining the queue within the app.


Earlier this month we launched the ability to pay someone back within the app, right from the group. As long as both of you have a B-Social card, paying back what you owe is super simple. We’ve also made a few updates since launching and have much more planned, including using your fingerprint or Face ID to securely authorise payments.

We’ve redesigned the flow to be more intuitive and want to hear your feedback. Simply comment below. We respond to every message and each piece of feedback is extremely useful for us.


Getting notified on what’s happening to your group or your account is not only nice but helps you understand what’s going on and stay on top of your social finances.

That’s why you’ll now get notified when someone splits an expense with you and when they pay you back, along with your group balance.

Stay tuned as we implement new notifications in the future.
For Android users, we’re planning on introducing notifications soon.

Things We’re Working On

We want your ability to manage your groups to be as easy as pie. That’s why we’re working on being able to add your friends to an existing group and the ability to add an expense that someone else has paid for.

That way you can get going with tracking your social finances without waiting for that slow coach to add last weeks dinner they paid for.

Office move

You may remember from the last bulletin that we were moving to our new office in Holborn. We’re now in and with new team members joining all the time we continue to make the space our own. We’ll be writing a blog post about all of this soon.
