Current account key information.

I had enough information to decide whether a Kroo account was right for me before applying.

Our website features a dedicated page providing information about the account types we offer. You can also find more details in our Help Centre. Our website features a dedicated page providing information about the account types we offer. You can also find more details in our Help Centre.

Kroo made me aware of the following benefits of having a Kroo account:

Earning interest when I have money in the account.
Interest accrues daily and is paid monthly on the 1st of every month (you’ll receive a notification when it’s paid).
You can view the interest rate directly in the Kroo app: just open your app and tap ‘Home’ tab on the bottom – you’ll see the current interest rate right under your account balance.

No fee when using my card abroad.
We don’t charge you any fees for using your Kroo debit card abroad as we’ll pass Visa’s real-time exchange rate directly to you with no hidden fees.
In addition, we won’t charge ATM withdrawal fees abroad until 30 April 2024 (please note that ATM providers may charge their own fee).
After this period, ATM withdrawals abroad are free up to £200 per month.
You can find more detailed information about fees applicable to your account in the Fee Information or in our Help Centre.

Switch my main account to Kroo using the Current Account Switching Service.
We don’t offer this service just yet, but it’s something we’re planning on introducing in the future.

Creating a joint account.
Currently, we offer only personal current accounts and you won’t be able to set up a joint, savings or business account. We’ll let our customers know once more types of accounts become available.

Splitting a bill with my friends.
Kroo offers a feature called Groups, which lets you add, share and settle expenses with your family and friends.

Making and receiving international payments.
We don’t support sending international payments just yet – but we hope to introduce this in the future. We also don’t support receiving payments that originate from outside the UK.

It was made clear to me that my personal information was shared with credit reference agencies during the application process.

We use credit reference agencies to check the information you give us when you apply for a current account. This information is available in-app when you create your account, in our Privacy Notice and also in our Help Centre.

Kroo made it clear how I can get help if I have any questions in the future.

You can contact us via the in-app chat (tap the ‘Account’ tab and ‘Chat with support’), email at help@kroo.com or call us at 08008021323 (or +441270448008 if you’re calling from outside of the UK) – for more details, please visit this Help Centre article.
